Why Spray Foam

Facts & Benefits

Polyurethane spray, or spray polyurethane foam (SPF) is a chemical product comprised of isocyanate and polyol resin.  When combined, these two components cause a chemical reaction and expand up to 30-60 times its liquid volume.
Polyurethane spraying is often used as an alternative to traditional insulation (i.e. fiberglass insulation) in building and construction. Spray it directly onto roof tiles or concrete slabs, into wall cavities or into holes drilled into walls. Most commonly, it’s used in roofing and wall insulation applications.

01

Energy Efficiency

Spray foam insulation is more energy efficient than traditional insulation. Its seamless application bonds completely to the frame of the structure. The seamless, complete bond creates an airtight seal that allows your structure to maintain its interior temperature regardless of the external weather conditions.

02

Unlimited Lifetime

Spray foam maintains its integrity and will not settle, shrink, or breakdown over time. These benefits mean your insulation will last the lifetime of your building without need for removal or replacement.

03

Environmentally Friendly

Because of its durability and longevity, spray foam is one of the most environmentally friendly insulation options available. Spray foam is also unlikely to ever end up in a landfill thanks to its unlimited lifetime.

04

Structural Integrity

The rigidity of spray foam can limit structural shifting and increases a structure's ability to stand up to high winds. The lack of gaps and rigidity of spray foam also help with the reduction of pests (insects, rodents, etc).

05

Alleviates Respiratory Issues

Because of its composition and seal to your structure, spray foam can reduce the number of allergens and pollutants that are often associated with, or unhindered by, other traditional methods of insulation.

06

Deters Moisture Buildup

This helps protect your structure internally from increased humidity and the growth of mold. It also will not damage in a flood. This moisture deterrence also helps with energy efficiency, allowing heating and cooling systems to operate with less stress.
